History

Pacific Continental Engines (PCE) was founded in 1961 by Justus “Jud” Jackson. After serving in two wars and retiring from the Air Force, Jud started PCE at Van Nuys Airport. Now going into its fourth generation under the ownership of his son, John Jackson, PCE has expanded to include many new services and products. PCE specializes in the overhaul of both Continental and Lycoming engines and their associated accessories and components. Through individual focus and group commitment, we pride ourselves on producing a safe, reliable product and providing quality service. Our main facility is now located in Simi Valley, CA, offering a full-service engine shop. The avionics department remains at Van Nuys Airport, offering FAR 91.411/91.413 inspections, along with new Garmin installations and repairs. PCE has become one of the leading service organizations in support of general aviation.

We are equipped with the latest machinery to provide a full array of services, including ultrasonic cleaning, media blasting, ultrasonic inspection, magnetic particle inspection, liquid penetrant inspection, computerized engine balancing, accessory/component repair and overhaul, cylinder repair and overhaul, propeller strike inspections, specialized machining, cylinder barrel honing, and final engine testing. Additionally, we provide FAR 91.411/91.413 inspections and new Garmin avionics installations. If we don’t do it, we know where to get it done. PCE only utilizes well-known, industry-established vendors, and we are factory distributors for Precision Airmotive, Marvel Schebler, and Garmin International. Having thrived in a competitive industry for over 50 years, we invite you to contact us for more information and to be part of our continued success and reputation.
